New Ink

Updated: Apr 12, 2018

My first approach to the monoprint project is to get an idea of how the ink behaves on the paper. I mixed some colours and tried some basic techniques. We've been introduced to blended rolls and ghost images: more about those later. The ink is a commercial colour lithography ink. It's oil based and designed for commercial printing: think posters and coloured brochures. Nothing fancy. I've chosen to use Fabriano Rosaspina paper. It's also not too fancy and not too expensive, so I can relax and experiment happily.
