I've been delaying mapping out the smallest room in my nesting set of three. I think that's because I can't quite imagine how to make something so ridiculously tiny. Today I mapped it out on paper:

Once it's folded and glued it will easily sit in the palm of my hand.

Now that I can actually see the scale, I know I won't be building the walls out of balsa wood. I'm pretty sure the tiny slices would splinter. I wonder whether I could use toothpicks. But first I think I'll rummage through my collection of wallpaper samples. If I'm lucky there will be something with a small scale pattern that I can use. A third option is to print it as a linocut, but that would give it a different character from the other two models. It's good to have options.
